Dahlias make wonderful plantings for gardens and as decorative blooming hedges, and they're also perfect for fresh and dried flower arrangements. Dahlias are easy to care for. After the risk of frost has passed, plant dalhlia tubers 2-3' apart and 6" deep, or start early in a container inside and replant. Dahlias prefer a sunny location in moist, well-drained soil, that has a ph of 6 - 6.5. Removing wilted flowers will encourage additional blooms. After the flowering is done in the fall, lift the tubers and store them for replanting the following spring.
